Waktu berlalu hari ini sudah hari jumat terakhir dibulan Januari 2024, dan sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditentukan Microsoft, hari ini atau lebih tepatnya kemarin malam Microsoft telah merilis update KB5034218 untuk para pengguna Windows 11 Insider Beta.
Update KB5034218 ini sendiri jika diinstall akan mengubah Build OS menjadi 22635.3130, dimana peningkatan yang dihadirkan tentu akan dipisah menjadi dua bagian antara pengguna yang mengaktifkan opsi ‘Get the latest updates as soon as the’re available’ di Windows Update atau tidak.

Perubahan dan Peningkatan Jika Opsi “On”
Yang pertama ada peningkatan pada Snap Layout, dimana fitur ini akan menampilkan suggestions untuk membantu pengguna mengatur jendela dengan lebih mudah.
Contohnya seperti pada gambar diatas, ketika kita membuka opsi snap layout baik dengan hover mouse atau menekan tombol Win + Z, maka di Build ini kita akan mendapati icon aplikasi yang terbuka yang akan memudahkan kita mengetahui preview dari jendela aplikasi dengan menggunakan Snap Layout.
Selain itu, khusus untuk pengguna yang mengaktifkan opsi di Windows Update, di update ini ada perbaikan pada masalah pada recommended section di Start menu yang menampilkan blank untuk sejumlah insider di Build sebelumnya.
Perubahan dan Peningkatan Untuk Semua Pengguna (Baik Opsi On/Off)
>> Peningkatan General
Mulai build ini, Microsoft telah mengaktifkan opsi untuk membatalkan pendaftaran perangkat mereka dari program insider dari halaman Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program > “Stop getting preview builds”.
Setelah itu, sistem akan memulai memproses instlasi Windows 11 23H2 dengan update baru yang tersedia untuk pelanggan retail, mengaktifkan fitur ini tentu akan menghilangkan sejumlah fitur tambahan di Windows mengingat pengguna akan berpindah ke channel Stable.
Selain itu, agar fitur ini bekerja dengan benar, pengguna wajib menonaktifkan “get the latest updates as they are available on the Windows” yang ada di halaman Windows updates.
>> Peningkatan Widget
Selain dari peningkatan diatas, kemampuan untuk melakukan kustomisasi Widget Board Experience juga kini mulai diaktifkan kembali.
Awalnya kemampuan ini dinonaktifkan sementara mengingat ada masalah yang terjadi pada Widget, namun mulai build ini kemampuan yang telah diperkenalkan dari beberapa build sebelumnya mulai diaktifkan kembali.

Selain itu, Microsoft juga memperbaiki masalah yang menyebabkan higlight pencarian tidak dimuat dan tampak kosong.
Kemudian ada perbaikan pada masalah yang mempengaruhi font warna untuk COLRv1 yang awalnya tidak ditampilkan dengan benar.
Selain itu ada sejumlah perbaikan lain seperti peraikan masalah pada file 7-Zip yang tidak muncul di File Explorer dan perbaikan lain yang mencakup :

- This update includes quarterly changes to the Windows Kernel Vulnerable Driver Blocklist file, DriverSiPolicy.p7b. It adds to the list of drivers that are at risk for Bring Your Own Vulnerable Driver (BYOVD) attacks.
- This update addresses an issue that affects the LocalUsersAndGroups CSP. It stops processing group memberships if it cannot find a group.
- This update addresses an issue that affects certain types of 7-Zip files. They appear as empty in File Explorer.
- This update addresses an issue that affects Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). A caching issue occurs. The issue causes CurrentTimeZone to change to the wrong value.
- This update addresses an issue that stops WMI from working. This occurs in certain scenarios with mobile device management (MDM) providers, such as Microsoft Intune.
- This update addresses an issue that causes your device to stop responding. This is intermittent and occurs after you install a print support app.
- This update addresses an issue that affects Active Directory. Bind requests to IPv6 addresses fail. This occurs when the requestor is not joined to a domain.
- This update addresses an issue that affects Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) Post Authentication Actions (PAA). The actions occur at restart instead of at the end of the grace period.
- This update addresses an issue that affects Group Policy Folder Redirection in a multi-forest deployment. The issue stops you from choosing a group account from the target domain. Because of this, you cannot apply advanced folder redirection settings to that domain. This issue occurs when the target domain has a one-way trust with the domain of the admin user.
