Selain merilis Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23511, Microsoft hari ini juga merilis Windows 11 Insider Canary Build 25915 yang secara umum membawa sejumlah peningkatan yang telah di hadirkan di Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23511 sebelumnya.
Namun di Windows 11 Insider Canary Build 25915, Microsoft menambahkan satu hal lain yang tentunya membawa era baru pada mail client di Windows 11, yaitu digantinya mail and calendar menjadi Microsoft Outlook sebagai default email client di system Windows 11.
Jadi kawan kawan, mulai dari Build ini, aplikasi Outlook for Windows Preview baru akan mulai menjadi aplikasi inbox default di Windows 11, dimana bersamaan dengan itu, aplikasi Mail and Calendar akan berakhir namun tetap dapat pengguna download di Microsoft Store hingga akhir tahun 2024 nanti.
"Beginning in 2024, new Windows 11 devices will be shipped with the new Outlook for Windows as the default mailbox application free for all to use. The Mail and Calendar applications will continue to be available via download in the Microsoft Store through the end of 2024. On existing devices, users can switch to the new Outlook for Windows from a toggle in the Mail and Calendar applications. You can see more information about accessing the People app here. "
Selain menghadirkan Outlook for Windows Preview baru, ada sejumlah perbaikan dan peningkatan yang juga di hadirkan Microsoft di build baru ini, dimana itu mencakup:
- We have improved refresh rate logic to allow different refresh rates on different monitors, depending on the refresh rate for each monitor and content shown on the screen. This will help most with refresh rate-dependent multitasking, like playing a game and watching a video at the same time.
- While a Dynamic Refresh Rate (DRR) is selected and Battery saver is also enabled, Windows will remain at the lower refresh rate and not switch to the higher rate until after Battery saver is disabled.
- The issue that resulted in some Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on ASUS devices or PCs with ASUS motherboards has been resolved and these Insiders should receive this flight.
- Ethernet-connected devices will no longer lose network connectivity after updating to this build.
