Guys, hari ini Firefox telah memperbarui browser Firefox mereka, dimana kini akhirnya versi 102 telah dirilis, dimana ada sejumlah peningkatan termasuk kemampuan untuk menyembunyikan download panel yang akan muncul otomatis ketika proses download dimulai.
“Tired of too many windows crowding your screen? You can now disable automatic opening of the download panel every time a new download starts. Read more.” Tulis Firefox dalam halaman release nya.
Nah mari kita fokus bahas satu kemampuan baru tersebut saja, karena ini adalah satu hal yang cukup menarik terlebih untuk kamu para pengguna Firefox yang ingin fokus pada layar utama tanpa diganggu oleh download panel yang muncul otomatis ketika proses download dimulai.
Misalkan nih, kamu ingin mendownload sesuatu menggunakan Firefox, biasanya Firefox akan langsung menampilkan panel download secara singkat (via popup) pada bagian toolbar, tepat seperti pada gambar berikut.
Namun di versi 102 ini, kamu bisa menyembunyikan hal tersebut, sehingga ketika tombol download di klik, maka tidak akan ada notifikasi apapun, kecuali indicator download yang terlihat berjalan, seperti pada gambar berikut.
Tentunya jika kamu tidak suka mengenai perubahan ini, kamu bisa mengaturnya dengan cara klik kanan pada download panel di Toolbar browser.

- Firefox now mitigates query parameter tracking when navigating sites in ETP strict mode.
- Subtitles and captions for Picture-in-Picture (PiP) are now available at HBO Max, Funimation, Dailymotion, Tubi, Disney+ Hotstar, and SonyLIV. This allows you to view video in a small window pinned to a corner of the screen while navigating between apps or browsing content on the main screen.
- When using a screen reader on Windows, pressing enter to activate an element no longer fails or clicks the wrong element and/or another application window. For those blind or with very limited vision, this technology reads out loud what is on the screen, and users can adapt them to their needs (now, on our platform, without errors).
- Various security fixes.
- Improved security by moving audio decoding into a separate process with stricter sandboxing, thus improving process isolation.
- You can now filter style sheets in the Style Editor tab of our developer tools.
